Employees shall have their weekly work hours reduced to 20 paid hours per week effective Monday February 20, 2012 unless otherwise agreed to by the City; 2\. Employees acknowledge that City policy states that employees working less than fulltime are not eligible for benefits as provided by the City (e.g. not accrue any further FTO, not eligible for health insurance, etc.) while working part-time; 3\. Employees have requested and will be allowed to use their FTO and/or compensatory time off to supplement their reduced hours to a maximum of 40 paid hours per week unless otherwise agreed to by the City; 4\. Provided that Employees use their FTO and/or compensatory time off to supplement their reduced hours to 40 paid hours per week, Employees would continue to be eligible for benefits offered by the City. However, assuming that the Employees use their FTO to supplement their reduced hours to 40 paid hours per week, they would only accrue FTO on the hours they worked and not the FTO or compensatory time they used to supplement their hours worked; 5\. Employees acknowledge that they will not receive any overtime or compensatory time while they are working 20 paid hours per week and would be required to reduce their FTO and/or compensatory time supplement for any hours worked above 20 paid hours per week unless otherwise required by State or Federal law; 6\. Employees acknowledge that their work weeks shall be staggered and that they shall work the hours determined by the City. ) 7\. It is anticipated that Employees would divide their time such that one employee works Tuesday and Wednesday and the other employee works Thursday and Friday with Monday being divided between the Employees. Should Employees wish to deviate from this proposal they can do so with the approval of their Supervisor; 8\. Employees acknowledge that the City may have a need to increase the number of paid hours that they may work for special projects, snow events, and/or other needs of the City. The employee requested to perform the additional hours of paid work will be determined by the City in consultation with the Employees' Supervisor based on the type of work needed to be performed and the skill set of the employee best determined by the City to perform such work; and 9\.
